1st Inquiry Session

Today was an amazing experience as Julia and I spent the better part of the day in fellowship with those men selected for Inquiry. It was explained to us the program and it’s requirements. There were 34 of us, with our wives. We listened as each couple introduced themselves and share a portion of our lives.

There is so much positive energy. I am becoming much more aware of the cultural differences that comprise God’s people, but also aware of how much in common we have. God is love and his love is made manifest in the people he’s called forward to ministry.

I scarcely remember a time when I felt the energy of the Holy Spirit present in the many people gathered. There were so many from different areas of the state. I cannot wait for the next session and to see my brothers again. Yes, even in this infant stage of community formation, I feel a kinship with them.

Thanks be to God.

2nd Phase

The next phase was a great experience. I think the interview was something special because that time my wife Julia was with me. The interview process was great because the people conducting it were so nice and they made things so comfortable.

The only part was that I would have to wait for answer whether I would be selected for the Inquiry sessions. The wait was something else. I expected to be informed by email and when I received that email it was to notify me that the admissions commitee made their recommendation to the Archbishop, and we would hear directly from him by mail.

Oh no! more waiting! It was all good though because it wasn’t much longer before that letter came. I was so relieved when I learned I would be selected for the Inquiry Sessions.. This was one of the happiest moments of my life.
